About Roseberry QLD
Roseberry is a community-based organisation providing a range of services to meet the identified needs of young people and families facing difficulty. Established in the mid-1980s, Roseberry Queensland was formed by a dedicated team of volunteers who recognised the pressing need for a solution to youth homelessness in our community. Our first major initiative involved acquiring a house on Roseberry Street in Gladstone, enabling us to establish a youth shelter and offer vital support to young individuals. From our first major initiative of acquiring a house on Roseberry Street in Gladstone to establish a youth shelter, we have evolved into a registered charity and community-led corporation. Today, we extend our reach across regional Queensland, delivering programs and services designed to empower communities and lift them out of disadvantage. Our primary focus is on expanding our services to adopt a holistic approach in supporting young people. This involves the cultivation and development of programs that aim to provide:
- Protection & Support
- Vocational Pathways
- Health & Wellbeing
- Shelter & Housing
- Safety & Security
